At the conclusion of the 2025–26 Season, Pittsburgh Opera will bid a fond farewell to General Director, Christopher Hahn, who will retire after 26 remarkable years.
To honor Christopher’s extraordinary service, we are embarking on a special $500,000 fundraising initiative to name Pittsburgh Opera’s Rehearsal Hall in his honor.

Special Tribute Book for Christopher Hahn
As part of this campaign, we are creating a special tribute book for Christopher that will include photos, stories, and memories spanning his 26 years at Pittsburgh Opera. All campaign donors will be recognized in this book, which will be presented to Christopher at the Rehearsal Hall Naming Reception in late spring 2026. Donors will also receive a digital copy of the tribute book.
