Opera Up Close is an in-depth look at the music and story of Daniel Sonenberg’s The Summer King – the Josh Gibson Story – with singers and directors from the production, in the George R. White Opera Studio at Pittsburgh Opera Headquarters.
Panelists will include:
- Pittsburgh Opera General Director Christopher Hahn
- Conductor Antony Walker
- Director Sam Helfrich
- Star mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves, who will be singing the role of Grace in The Summer King
Admission is $5; the event is free to members of FRIENDS of Pittsburgh Opera and donors at $50+.
