Pittsburgh Opera invites you to "Comment on War: a Song Recital."

This Art Song recital will feature Resident Artists Brian Vu, Claudia Rosenthal and Leah deGruyl. The recital will include over two dozen poignant pieces such as:
- Gustav Mahler's "Wo die schönen Trompeten blasen"
- Claude Debussy's "Noël des enfants qui n’ont plus de maisons"
- Stephen Foster's "Willie has Gone to the War" and "When this Dreadful War is Ended"
- Langston Hughes's "Comment on War"
- Selections by Walt Whitman
- And much more
FRIENDS of Pittsburgh Opera are your hosts at the reception.
Art Song Recitals are on selected Sundays during the season, in the George R. White Studio at Pittsburgh Opera Headquarters, 2425 Liberty Avenue in the Strip. Admission is $5; free to members of FRIENDS of Pittsburgh Opera and donors at $50+.
Please note that the Pittsburgh Opera garage is available only for handicapped parking, by reservation. RESERVATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 4:00 PM FRIDAY, November 18th. Reserve a handicapped parking spot for the November Art Song Recital.
