The performance takes place in the George R. White studio at Pittsburgh Opera Headquarters, 2425 Liberty Avenue in the Strip. It's free and open to everyone.

About Glenn:
Glenn Lewis, a native of Rochester, New York, began his association with Pittsburgh Opera in the fall of 2006 and has worked as Head of Music since January 2008. He has served as pianist, vocal coach, and assistant conductor primarily to Music director Antony Walker on most of the mainstage productions of the past several seasons including Tosca, Eugene Onegin, Samson & Dalila, Rigoletto, Don Giovanni, The Grapes of Wrath, Orphée and Aida.
He made his conducting debut with Pittsburgh Opera in 2009 conducting the Resident Artist production of Don Pasquale. Most recently he has conducted Little Women (2016) and Sumeida’s Song (2015). In the spring of 2016, he was in Washington, D.C. at the Kennedy Center working as an assistant conductor for the Francesca Zambello Wagner Ring Cycle production with the Washington National Opera.
For 15 seasons he has been on the music staff at the Santa Fe Opera festival. There he has worked on productions including Wozzeck and Salome with Maestro David Robertson and Peter Grimes with Maestro Alan Gilbert. He worked for 11 seasons in the opera houses in Cologne and Düsseldorf, Germany where he assisted Maestri James Conlon, John Fiore, and Donald Runnicles, among others. Repertoire there included Elektra (with Eva Marton), Tristan und Isolde, Otello, La Damnation de Faust, and The Makropulos Case. While there, he conducted works including La cenerentola, Orphée aux Enfers, Zar und Zimmermann, Der Freischütz, and Sweeney Todd.
He has had further guest engagements at the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago,
and Vancouver Opera. He is a frequent recitalist with guest artists including Matthew Worth, Suzanne Mentzer, and Oren Gradus. He holds degrees in Piano performance from Ithaca College and Northwestern University, and an Artist Diploma in Opera Coaching and Conducting from the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music.
