Our film pairing for Salome is Salome.
Directed by Al Pacino (who also stars as Herod), Salome was filmed over five days as part of a double feature on the Oscar Wilde short play Salomé, along with the documentary Wilde Salomé, that shows the making of this film. It tells the Biblical story of Salome, a girl who agrees to perform the “dance of the seven veils” in return for John the Baptist’s head on a silver platter.
